A more gentle path to healing.
Healing begins when we feel safe enough to slow down and listen to what the body has been holding.
Welcome. I am happy you have found your way here. This space is an offering to slowly melt, exhale, shake, quietly roar, discover, remember, reclaim, or let go of whatever is persisting in you to make way for more possibility and agency. The medicine I bring is ancient and what you carry inside you is ancient too. Perhaps even ancestral. Your body is wise and your symptoms are your teachers. With curiosity and compassion, I hold a safe space while together we navigate what needs attention. It is a practice of remembering and bringing awareness to your body’s language. Once we interpret the message, we can honor and meet whatever has been held in your tissues that needs resolution, movement, processing, and releasing, so you can reclaim the life-force constrained by trauma.
Integrating Acupuncture & Somatic Healing
Sarah has been an Acupuncturist for over 17 years. She has a master’s degree in Acupuncture from the Tai Sophia Institute for the Healing Arts and as an NCCAOM Diplomat of Acupuncture, has achieved the highest level of certification in her field. She completed a hospital tour in Hefei, China at the Anhui Hospital and has been a Research Acupuncturist for both the Samueli Institute and WRIISC (War Related Illness and Injury Study Center), studying the benefits of specialized treatment for veterans with traumatic brain injury (TBI) and post-traumatic syndrome (PTS). Her work with veterans led Sarah to explore trauma more deeply through the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute (SETI) where she completed the core curriculum as well as training in Somatic Touch Skills, Somatic Resilience and Regulation and certification in Somatic Attachment Therapy. She has been combining Somatic Touch Skills and Acupuncture for over a decade. Both acupuncture and somatic touch are considered “regulation therapies” which help a person’s nervous system move through unprocessed and stuck trauma to a place of completion and greater harmony, and resilience.
